The 9th of July 2024 may have been a rainy day, but the Heath Robinson Museum was alight with creativity and inspiration. On this special day, the museum hosted a private viewing of the much-anticipated exhibition, “Michael Rosen: The Illustrators.” Curated by Assistant Curator, Hannah Whyte and introduced by Head Curator, Chris Westbrook, the event attracted an illustrious audience, including the beloved children’s author, poet, and broadcaster Michael Rosen himself.
Rosen was accompanied by two exceptionally talented illustrators, Neal Layton and David Melling, adding a personal touch to the celebration of visual storytelling. The exhibition pays tribute to the incredible illustrators who have brought Rosen’s enchanting stories to life over the decades.
